Article 5.4
“If an Instruction is canceled, the principal shall owe an amount at least equal to two-thirds (2/3) of the fees in conformity with the list of notarial fees laid down by the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, St. Maarten, and of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba or the amount agreed on, as well as the additional costs incurred by the Civil-law Notary. If the draft of the relevant notarial deed has already been drawn up at the time of cancellation, the principal shall owe the entire amount in conformity with the aforementioned list of notarial fees and/or the arrangement made.”

Keshia richards
Keshia Richards, daughter of the soil, is a devoted and passionate individual passionate about the legal sector. She obtained her Masters’s Degree in Notary law at Leiden University in The Netherlands. Keshia has been active in the legal industry since 2008; after completing her studies in 2013, she found her passion in Family Law. Succession Law and property law.
In 2015, Keshia completed a personal internship at Tjon Ajong & Associates in Sint Maarten. After completing this venture, she was confident and motivated to become the first local notary in Sint Maarten.
